Depends on which part of HK u wanna go to. I've staying in Kowloon throughout my trip but went to a couple of places in HK mainland. Very convenient... taking the ferry or the MTR. a 3star hotel (can't remember the name) near the Jordon Station. YMCA, can try. Check with ur travel agent if u have free transfer to YMCA. Otherwise, might have to walk a distance from the train station.

Cheapest Airlines? Natas fair just passed i think. I went by United Airlines though. Not too sure if that the cheapest, but relatively cheap. S$500+ including 4 nights hotel stay and hotel transfer.

3days, you can't go far though. If it's ur 1st time there, the PEAK (shan ding). You can visit the wax museum 1st before going up. Otherwise there's nothing much there except the night scenery. Before going up to the Peak, can go Repulse Bay (qian shui wan). Where the rich ppl stays...

Ocean Park? That'll take you almost one day. By the time u get back will be about dinner time. walk along "miao jie" or "nv ren jie" and enjoy the food stalls. Otherwise, can walk in to any eateries and enjoy their wantan noodles. There's actually a place where they sell noodles made of fish meat. & the fish balls "yv dan" are very nice.

Can't really remember the exact places cos we have local friends to bring us around. If you're taking an evening flight back, leave luggage at the airport, take a bus to some place (really cannot remember. Maybe some locals can help). There's a bus to Lantau (da yv shan). The Big Buddha & Tai-O. That's about half a day's trip.

Else, you can post your question at this webby. There are some very good advisors available. At least there are locals who can help you with your planning of itinery.

Enjoy your trip. :D

Kowloon Tong's hotel is pretty decent stay and its located at a nice place. The Ritz-Carlton in Kowloon has the best scenery ever and its at the middle of Hong Kong. There's a vast amount of restaurants and traveling experiences, but the whole point is to explore... dont forget to pick up a travel guide!

I've stayed at YMCA at kowloon, near Yew Ma Tei Station, cost about SGD90+ dollars per night. Book online using Zuji.com
If you want to book on the spot, cost about SGD166 dollars.
Free upgrade of room.
Nice location.
