I think it happend to me, I was trying to be friendly . But she started to touch me and was flirting so hard, so I said i liked her, but then she made up different reasons why she couldn't be with me. But they have seemed to go away.(In fact she told me about breaking up with her boyfriend.).So did she make me like her, or what.

anytime someone feels that you are moving in fast or trying to convince them to like you, it will do just the oposite. it will drive them away. the best way to be attractive is to honestly have an interesting life with or without them. if you are always out and being the life of the party people of both sexes will naturaly be drawn to you.
if you are trying to get peoples approval it will make them want to get the hell away from you.. think of it like a mouse trap. you dont convince the mouse to come into the trap, you have something interesting that the mouse wants THE CHEESE :D

If you like her what difference does it make how it happened.....unless you're feeling forced.
