When my hair is damp i scrunch mousse and/or hair spray to get the messy hair. Try to put mousse evenly throughout your head, maybe by doing little by little. Start out at the ends and move your way up but don't put mousse on your roots b/c it will way it down. My hair has natural waves so the mousse defines my waves more with the finishing touch of hair spray.

I do this a few ways: On damp hair, I'll apply a light mousse, flip hair upside down and scrunch while using a diffuser. Or if my hair is already dry, I'll mist it with some water just till it's lightly moistened and then spray on a salt product like Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray or Aquage Sea Salt Texturizing Spray, scrunch, throw my hair around a bit, rough it up, etc. I prefer salt products as opposed to mixing salt and water because the products have the right combo of salt and protective ingredients so it doesn't totally dry out my hair.

1.Wash hair well.
2.If your hair is naturally straight, then put some curling mousse, gel, or any curling product. If your hair is wavy or curly, then put a little of gel in it and let it air dry for 15 minutes. Then, blow dry your hair with a defuser, makeing sure if you have curly hair not to let your hair go into curls, constantly straighten it with your fingers. Another way to do it for curly hair is to (when its already dry) straigten some peices with a straightening iron.
3. When it is all dry take some Garniea Frutis beach hair gum and put into your hands and start to scrunch hair, then rub it into individual peices to get a peicy beachy look.
Have fun! Always works for me.

Mix a few teaspoons of sea salt into a cup of warm water. Dissolve. Put into a spray bottle. Spray on wet hair and scrunch.
Let dry.
Voila. Beach Hair. :)

While your hair is still wet, scrunch it up toward the top of your head. Do this repeatedly until it dries.
