I don't think you should ever stop believing in fairy tales. They're magical and innocent.

It's when you blur the line between fairy tale and reality that you should step back and reexamine.

I don't believe people should ever BELIEVE in fairy tales. They are for entertainment only, and should be presented as such. It's totally fun listening to tales of unicorns and dragons and knights-back-in-the-day and elves and stuff like that, but aren't we all really relieved to know it can't really happen?

People who lie to their kids about a fat guy in a red suit coming down their chimney, and a giant bunny rabbit hiding eggs, etc. are just setting themselves up as a villian later on, when their children find out their parents are LIARS. Stories should just remain stories. Let Santa and the E. Bunney and the Great Pumpkin go out to play with the Berenstain Bears and Pooh and Company. They belong there anyway.

I started answering your question three times and got a headache.

Now then, Fairy tales themselves, assuming you mean Brother's Grim, Hans Christian Anderson and the like. The answer to that is never. You need a slight sense of fantasy in life, else you'll go completely insane.

Since this is in spiritual and religion, i'm assuming you mean the religious texts, but then, my answer still stands. You need a sense of fantasy and the the willing suspension of disbelief.

I think that fairy tales gives more fantasy to our lives. I were so happy when I believed in Santa Claus... we grow up and lost the life charming. I stopped to believe when I had 5, 6 years old, unfortunately.

I don't think children should ever be lied to by their parents and relatives. They can have fun holidays knowing that their parents and loved ones want to bless them. Then they won't have to go through that awful disappointment of finding out the truth later.
