INGREDIENTS:
1 lb. brown sugar
1 cube butter or margarine
1 cup corn syrup
1 can sweetened condensed milk
PREPARATION:
Bring to brown sugar, butter, and syrup to a boil; add 1 can sweetened condensed milk. I continue to cook for another couple of minutes, stirring constantly because it will burn easily. Pour over popcorn.

4 cups freshly popped corn lightly salted
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup corn syrup (light)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon baking soda


Directions:

My wife makes this and it has crackerjacks beat;

Put popcorn in shallow roasting pan (large pan). In heavy saucepan mix sugar, butter and corn syrup. Stir over medium heat until boiling. Continue boiling 5 min. without stirring. Remove from heat; add vanilla and baking soda. Pour over popcorn; stir to coat well.

Bake in preheated 250 degree oven for 1 hr., stirring several times. Cool, break apart and store in tightly covered container. (Cool on waxed paper so it won't stick to pan) Note; if desired 1 cup. peanuts may be added to popcorn BEFORE adding caramel sauce.

5 MINUTE BROWN BAG CARAMEL CORN

Ingredients:
1 stick butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup corn syrup
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 bag microwavable popcorn
1 brown paper grocery bag


Directions:
1st pop popcorn. Set aside. Melt butter in microwavable bowl. Add brown sugar, corn syrup to melted butter. Mix well. Microwave on high for 1 1/2 minutes. Remove and stir. Microwave again on high for additional 1 1/2 minutes. Remove and stir. Add 1/4 tsp baking soda to mixture and mix well. Combine popcorn and mixture in brown paper bag. Shake bag until popcorn is coated. Put bag of coated popcorn in microwave and microwave on high for 30 seconds. Remove and serve warm or cooled.

1 stick oleo
1-1 1/2 c brown sugar
8 lg marshmallows
Heat oleo,brown sugar and marshmallow until marshmallows are melted.
This the old fashion recipe; the easier route is by a jar of Carmal and place in microwave safe dish and microwave on med for 3 minutes let slighlty cool and pour over popcorn and toss and eat.

I think a basic toffee recipe would be good too. My favorite is 1 cup of butter w/ 3/4 cup of brown sugar. The hotter you get it, the harder it will be when it cools. Cook 7 minutes on medium heat. Cook it on med low if you want it softer.

Or melt unwrapped store bought caramel and melt.

Sugar and water place a little water in a sauce pan and add sugar and heat it up becarefull not to burn the sugar that's it.
