Theyre there for the radio units speaker leads, in case youre not using the low side RCA's.

A pain in the butt. They are for speaker wire inputs, but the line level converter in an amplifier is usually pretty sub-standard. If you don't have line level outputs (RCA cables) on your stereo, I'd get an external line level converter instead of using the internal converter.
