I don't know that I can answer you question because I am experiencing the same symptoms. I was just recently diagnosed with manic depression/bipolar. Like you, I have NO motivation, and I have 4 kids that are being neglected because of this. I am hoping that the new meds. I started taking will help to change this mode that I am in. I don't know what meds. you are currently taking, but I truly think that you should bring this up to your doctor. There are a list of meds. out there for people like you and I and chances are that the first meds. will not work or it will be temperary. If you should have any questions or you just need an ear you can email me at kimlicatino@yahoo.com. Good Luck sweetie and don't forget spell check. I forget it too sometimes.

If you smoke weed,do drugs or drink...STOP! That stuff takes away all motivation/ambition.Just as all drugs do.But weed seems to be really bad about it.It's called ammotivational syndrome. All people want to do when their high,is sit on the couch eating cheesy poofs, and watching TV.I was diagnosed BP as one of the many diagnosis they put on me.For years,I believed that was my problem. But somebody who cared about me got me to go to AA / NA. Guess what happened? I quit drinking an drugging, and six months later there were no symptoms of BP or any other mental illness.Doctors had told me I would need to be on Psych meds. for life. They were amazed...the same thing happened to my girlfriend, she had been on Psych meds. for PB since she was 15,and she's 35 now. After getting clean and sober her symptoms disappeared also! We have since met many others like ourselves, who had been told that they would be mentally ill for the rest of their life, but they too have recovered and are symptom free, and living perfectly normal lives.Try it out if that is the case with you.The drugs/alcohol,that is.You have nothing to lose by trying, and everything to gain if you succeed.Good luck.

You need meds for bipolar. Also, don't say I am bipolar. It's like saying I am cancer. It's a condition you have, not your whole existence. Start with that. The rest will follow.

Learn to use spell check first. I also have ADD. Sometimes you might forget your doing something and do something else. But try to concentrate. You should have a goal in mind. Or you could just think... do you want to bag groceries, or serve others for the rest of your life? or do you want others to serve you?
