I mean, it's not like they thought of the joke. Why do they ask to be rated? Am I supposed to rate their mad copying and pasting skills or something? Seriously, unless you created the joke yourself, don't ask to be rated by posting someone else's work. It's like asking whether or not someone like a drawing you ripped off of someoen else. Does anyone else agree?

Well, if you've ever done any art online, you probably know that stealing someone's art is a huge issue. I don't understand why it isn't the same for jokes and riddles.

I certainly don't think we can compare this to plagiarism. These people aren't claiming that they wrote these jokes. Its possible that they just want to know how well everyone liked the joke and if its worth repeating or not. I appreciate that people are willing to give up there points to make others and myself laugh. I always look forward to coming home from a stress full day at work and reading a good joke.

If it is an original joke then it deserves to be rated but if its plagiarized then you should get no credit.
however jokes aren't like art work, a joke is meant to be spread around by people because you can't go into a museum and stare at jokes on the wall.
Its just assumed that jokes you tell aren't your own unless your a professional (ie. comedian) if you have a joke that's your own then state that and then maybe people will rate you
