Look in www.autotrader.com, you can ask for cars up to 5000. I have looked for 2 cars there and I am happy. A good Cavalier or Escort are good value. Honda Civic is good if you are lucky to find a low mileage one and in good shape.

get a older explorer...i paid $2500 for my 94 ford explorer.....and it runs great....plus with winter coming u will have 4 wheel drive.
