What would be around the normal price to charge for a painted wall mural?

Is this a mural you're going to paint, or have painted???

I have to say if you are to be the artist the decision about price is completely up to you. No one here can know your level of skill or artistic ability. I suggest it also has to do with the customer, their taste in art, their idea of what they want, etc.

If this is a mural you are contracting to have painted, then much of the above still applies. Example: If you were contracting a famous, highly skilled, artist, don't you imagine the fee might be higher than one of his subordinants who might also be an artist at some lesser level?

Beyond all that,,, art isn't house painting. I do both,,, but certainly would be charging you more than my usual $40 per hour house painting fee, to create art for you.

Figure out how much you think you are worth an hour and multiply that by how many hours it will take you to completer the mural then add the cost of paints and supplies. I have a friend who does freehand sign painting and use that very formula.

depends on the size and complexity of the mural. some charge by hour, size, or detail/difficulty.

About 1000$ - depends on the size of the wall, and if the painter is recognized/has a reputation or not.
