how do i get my mom to treat me like more of an adult, which includes not being grounded

i love all the responses in here. I am 23 years old and I am married. I still get treated like a child. I am happy that I dont get grounded though.
You are never going to get treated like an adult by your mom nobody does. The only thing you can do to not get grounded is to be perfect in your mom's eyes. Which isnt going to happen. She just wants to protect you and all that crap. Just do your best not to get in trouble in school or with your friends.

If you want to be treated more like an adult, you have to act like one. Try that for awhile, and maybe you won't be grounded.

as everyone said, you also gotta act like more of an adult, i know its hard, but you also have to talk to them and make sure they trust you and they believe you, and that will gain their trust which will lead to being treated like more of an adult, and for being grounded, its the same, you just gonna listen to them and if you wanna sneak, just make sure you dont get caught :)

yeah right if you do something wrong you get grounded.(period) if you wanted to be treated like an adult act like one. do your chorus, get good grades, stop talking back, whatever you do to be grounded !!Stop!!

try 2 get her 2 trust u, show her dat u are responsible and capable of being in charge of yourself

sit down and talk to her about it. discuss it in a very mature way. worked with my parents. =]
