“(Muhammad) EVIL omen is ONLY in three: a horse, a WOMAN and a house."” http://www.islamicity.com/mosque/sunnah/bukhari/071.sbt.html#007.071.666

I will consider the arguments thoughtfully.

Again, the question is, whether there is even any possiblity at all, that God could have held the view that woman are "evil omens". Remember, under Islam, ever word and act of Muhammad was meant to be the best example of conduct for all mankind...forever. So for example, Muhammad owned slaves and thus, under Islam, enslaving humans is part of the list of behavior that Islam deems 'excellent".

Put it another way, I am not asking whether this is likely from God or his messanger...Im asking if its rational to even include such a statement to be in the realm of possible God statements or God endorsed statements...

You must remember that Muhammad was confused about many issues including women, murder, human rights, incest, lying, etc. But after all he was only a mortal man and is now dead.

really man, your questions are getting worse and worse. just face the facts that no matter what you say, or what you do, that some people will fight FOR the equality of all people because they know that people like YOURSELF will always be racist and bigoted.

What happened to America?

And on that subject, around 610-622 c.e. when the quran stated that women are entitled to a share in estate left over from a loved one., that was the first time EVER that women were looked at as equals, treated above the bar. So again, relax, Islam is a religion of peace, and if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all.

Didn't you ask this question already?

Any hadith which contradicts the Quran is false. Not knowing the full context of this statement, I can't make a comment on what it means or whether it is true or false, but the Quran places a very high status on women. Mothers are considered to be of comparable to, if not higher status of the prophets.

please if u want to get real knowledge of Islam, don't argue about something u don't know.

when did Muhammad(pbuh) called women "evil omen",i want to know that too.it NEVER happened.....Islam always taught equality,n there r many examples of women in Islam who r sense of pride for Muslims.starting with hazrat aisha, who was brilliant, intellectual lady, who taught the msg of Islam, after prophet's death.preventing muslims from, deviating of their path.like christians did, calling prophet Jesus as not prophet but Son of God,forgetting his own teachings of oneness of God.

slavery.....it was basically concept of keeping servants, but to sound it voilating, world calls it slavery.
well even keeping servants was not promoted in Islam(u r again wrong here).as history reveals, the time when islam was revealed on Muhammad, keeping servants or slaves was basic tradition among Arabs, everyone had minimum one slave.even BEFORE advent of Islam, hazrat zaid was prophet's servant too,but afterwards prophet gave him,His inheritance n made him His son.

about slavery, islam never encouraged it,but criticize it,as prophet (pbuh) n Quran says, try to release ur servants or slaves, that will be more beneficial for u.n if u don't remember that they r great responsibility on u,as u will ESPECIALLY be asked about ur behaviour with ur servants.
hope this helps u out, a friendly advice to u is,please read the text urself.ppl, media,or corrupt sites won't help u.
may blessings be with whole humanity.

I think all religions with exception of paganism was woman hating from their conception. It seems that they all have some kind of axe to grind with women. i can only assume they were peeved by the fact that women were revered in pagan religions and felt the need to make us look ignorant and insignificant.

as a matter of fact, women are holy in Islam.
slaves owned by muslims were not treated cruel, whatsoever.
how sad, do people honestly believe that Islam is an evil religion?

what religion have you heard of that actually discriminates being tolerant to other people?

yawn

the hatred for Muhammad (pbuh) was greater in his own day. Allah gave him success, and there was nothing his enemies could do. Likewise you can say all the lies you want, truth stands clear from falsehood, and Allah is with the believers
