Well that didn't take 5 seconds to look it up on Google. Anyone who doesn't know is incredibly ignorant of the library they have available to them...

An acrostic is a poem or otherwise a collection of paragraphs written and arranged in such a way that the first letters of each line spell out a hidden message.

But yeah, they wouldn't exist in the the English version of the Bible and I'm not sure it's doable in Hebrew. In the Greek version of the NT you might find some though don't hold me to that, I doubt the arrangement would be right, you'd have to arrange the sentances into proper lines.

A poem or series of lines in which certain letters, usually the first in each line form a name, motto or message when read in sequence.

It is a poem where the letters downward form another word. I wonder why you think they exist in English. Or are you reading Greek?

Yeah, it's a "word puzzle" that uses each letter in a word to spell out a "defintion" of the main word. i.e. GRACE God's riches at Christ's expense.
