My mother has fibromyalgia (muscle pain radiating from the usual
tender points), but she's never had those symptoms. Could it be something like Epstein-Barr virus instead? http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/diseases/ebv.htm This link list swollen glands and fever as symptoms. I don't know about the connection but it seems that Epstein-Barr causes some kinds of
mononucleosis, so that would be another thing to look into.

Fibromyalgia is a condition where the sufferer has pain in the lower neck and upper back. It is usually caused by the lack of sleep and increased stress in the life of the patient.

Fevers and lymphadenitis is usually the sign of an infection that is affecting your body. This warrents the investigation by your physician.

I've never had a fever with fibro. I've had almost every other conceivable symptom, though, including chest pains so bad it drove me to the ER... and I'm no wussie when it comes to pain. Here's a website devoted to fibro: http://www.fms-help.com
