Yes, but it would be more work than it's worth. The question is why don't you just sell your car, and buy a 2000 Mustang GT with the 4.6L V8 in it already? It's not just the engine that's different. Wiring? PCM? Rear Axle Assembly (V6=7.5 inch, v8=8.8 inch)? Transmission (both have different bellhousing bolt patterns)? Gauge Cluster (both the V6 & V8 have different clusters)? These are just a list of the KNOWN differences. With what I've just mentioned so far, you're into more than double what the car is worth.

you will need an engine lifting kit and change your front suspension but it will defenitely fit, however the transmission is a different story there are a few types mated to the v8 but I am not sure if they are mated to v6 as well so before you go and start taking bolts off check if your transmission will mate with the v8 otherwise you will have to change the whole suspesion system. I would recomend a manual transmission over an automatic for easy of installation and best performance for the bucks you will spend.

Mustangs have the engine compartment to accept a V8, since they came factory with V8's, you will need a better tranny, and change a few things around. Bigger radiator, under-drive pulley system, some minor bracing around the frame to take the torque, and some of the racking. Other than that if it's staying mild, then y our o.k., otherwise try lightspeed.com

Yes, the body style and room under the hood between the V6 and V8 are exactly the same.

Both the GT and V6 Mustangs used the 4R70W in 2000. You will need one from another V6 though. " do switch the tranny will i have to switch the axle thing that rotates the rims too??/" No offense, but if you're asking about the "axle thing" then you probably aren't qualified to do anything more mechanically demanding than filling up the fuel tank. You're probably going to want to get an actual mechanic to handle the transmission swap.

Yes it will fit, with a few minor mods such as motor mounts, preferably the V8 radiator AND the V8 tranny.
Good Luck

You can pretty much fit any engine into anything if you have the right saw. I saw a body shop take the engine out of a Suburban and jam it in a Shelby replica

It's the same chassy but it might be little expensiver than buying a GT. Unless you want to do something unique ... I say put a carburated 351.. will be easier and more fun :)

You sure can. Depending on what transmission you have, you might have to change mounts, but it will fit in there.
