Ok it snowed yesterday were I live so I was driving slow so I wouldn't crash. Some asshole in a V8 truck started honking at me cause I wasn't going faster even though he could have passed me in the left lane. He finally did pass me and when he did he flipped me off. A mile up the road i saw him in a ditch. He was waving at me and as I drove by I gave him the finger and drove off and left him there. I think I was right. She says I shoulda helped. Who is right?????

sometimes people have to learn things the hard way. It snowed where I live yesterday also and some lady cut me off, and others were on my tail on top of it. Well. I guess what goes around comes around. that guys anger is what got him into trouble. if he wasn't angry he would have been calmer and more in control of his vehicle maybe. It is not your fault that it happened, and maybe if he didn't do that to you, you would have stopped.

The guy was an aggressive driver. You say it was a 2 lane road, so I assume it was well traveled. I think it was best to leave him there. This person could have been aggressive off the road as well. What could you have possibly done anyway? You did the right thing. Honestly, althought i know it is not right, I probably would have given him the finger too.

I had something like that happen to me. I just smiled, waved and laughed all the way home! (He was in a REALLY expensive new sports car and the passenger side was crunched up (lengthwise) along the concrete barrier in the middle of the highway, facing north in the southbound lane in the days before cell phones)

I MAY have done the same thing, on the other hand two wrongs don't make a right. Wouldn't he have really felt bad if you had been nice and helped the poor sap out. Or Like the kids bracelets say...What would Jesus do? I think I would have been to p.o.ed to think that way and done the same!!

I don't know if proper etiquette would say that you were right, but I would have done the same thing. I think I would have at least stopped long enough to call him a jerk-off and throw something at him just to piss him off more !!!
Maybe I would have said to him "do you need some help" ? and when he responded yeah, I would have said "I'll bet you do" and drove off laughing.
You get my vote on this one !!!!

I'm with you, if you don't have the common sense to drive safely when conditions are bad it's your own tough luck. Even more so with this guy because he honked at you and gave you the finger THEN wanted your help. F**k him.

You're right. I would've flipped him off and kept on driving just like you did. He won't freeze to death and I'm sure the next person with a cell phone would have called for help.

Hmm...your response may actually have been more polite than my tendency. I probably would have stopped to offer what assistance I could ... if only for the fact that I could have gloated about my triumph over such stupidity!

Help him out. It will help him learn that doing nice things makes other people feel nice. And if you don't do good things for others, what will they do for you? If you did something bad every time someone did something bad to you, you would be a terrible person. What would Jesus have done? He would have helped him. And so, you should have done what Jesus would have done and helped the man out.
