Ok, I have flat, fine, straight hair. But it has no body. I mean it is soft and shiny but flat!! And I really would like to know what to do with it? I have tried using a volume building shampoo and conditioner no sucess, and I have also tried the hair dryer, and odd as it may sound the straightener. They have been no help. I was hoping you guys/gals could give me some advice.

Thanks

i have same the hair. i know what u mean- i love it yet it drives me crazy. I would not use the conditioner for sure- that can just make it flatter and greasy. Usually volumizing shampoos tend to help mine, tho. When you blow dry, be sure to flip your hair over your head and blow dry bottom up. Try not to brush it out too much either. Also a trick when blow drying is to put a little hairspray underneath the area (small patches in back of head) thta you want to "stand up" more after you have already dried it a little. Then blow dry until dry. But I think the biggest thing I would recommend is definitely using the upside-down blow dry method.

if none of this works, u might want to try a new haricut with lots of layers (razor edged)-- that gives a lot of volume just is a little more work.

good luck!

Take the time to use those big velcro type curlers in your hair, curl while wet and when dry remove that will add major body, you can use the bloe dryer on lo to speed up drying process, the bid curlers will not make your hair cirly and you only have to roll a few since they are so big.
