You've got a great goal. You need to look at 1-2 pounds a week. I'm proud of you for having realistic expectations.

To lose 1 pound a week, you have to change your calorie intake/burn by 500 calories a day. In other words, you can burn 500 more calories (walk 75 minutes a day), or lower calorie intake by 500 (substitute McD's fries for a salad or fruit), or a combination of both.

Weight Watchers will help you learn a different way to eat. No one likes to be hungry, and they teach you how to eat so you're not hungry but still stay in good shape.

In addition, I'd join a class at the Y or join some exercise activity at your school You don't have to be competitive to run, swim, bike, etc. -- in fact, as you get older, you'll want to do some exercise activity for health AND fun. If it's still warm where you are, take up golf, and you'll have a friend (and curse) for the next 80 years.

Above all, find friends who exercise and eat right. They will rag on you when you're falling down, and praise you when you're doing well. That's why I said to join a group like Weight Watchers, and join the Y or some sports activity at school.

LAST THING -- shakes and pills do one or more of the following: Make you poop more, make you hyper (caffeine effect), suppress appetite. When you stop the pills, the weight will come back WITH A VENGENCE. And, you'll have health risks from the side effects.

Healthy Weight Loss : Start right away
In order to consistently keep your weight under control, it is advisable to walk about 10,000 steps daily. It is the easiest activity among all the exercise programs and does not involve stress to the body. Apart from the activity of walking, a systematic dietary pattern should be followed so that you are always free from the obesity symptoms.

Generally people, who are overweight, are usually not interested in physical activities. They prefer doing any type of work but without moving from one place to another. They usually enjoy watching TV and having something to eat. For this category, fixing a program like aerobics or floor exercises would require great efforts. Therefore walking is the most recommended form of exercise. For the beginners it is ideal to walk for 15-20 minutes daily. Gradually, the time can be extended daily until they are capable of walking 60 minutes a day.

When the doctors prescribe pills for the patients, they advice the patients to spend some time walking around. The tablets are effective only when combined with the healthy dietary patterns and a daily exercise activity. Losing weight is a difficult task, and people who are disciplined and take exercise seriously, would lose weight. So take your exercise activity seriously and be active throughout the day.

It sounds like you need to improve your diet. Try eating less junk food and more healthy food. Also you need to get out and do some athletic activities. If you aren't into hitting the gym, then get involved with a sports team. Someone your size would have a good shot at getting onto the high school football team. If that doesn't work, how about the wrestling team? They always need guys in your weight class. Wrestling would help you drop a few pounds and add muscle while getting rid of fat.

sweetheart your only 15.. you still have baby fat.. please do not consider starving yourself. Do you know that eating three meals a day is the best way to stay healthy and loose weight. don't starve your body, it will begin to have what's called the "camel affect". This is when a camel stores water in its hump as sort of a protection device, while walking thru the desert. If he cannot find water, the water in his hump becomes his secondary tank. The human body will do the same, if you skip meals to loose weight, the body will begin to store what you do eat as fat as protection from starvation. You will gain weight quicker, as well as de-oxygenate you body causing cellulite to develop. (some say)
Eat balanced meals, get plenty of rest, and good exercise. To loose weight, just doing the simple things that are healthy for you will be beneficial. You will see a dramatic change once you just take better care of you now. Cut out fast food and soda's. Stretch and get at least 20 min of heart pumping exercises at least three times a day. You are beautiful because that is the way God made you.!
