i have been dating this guy now for almost a year....and im a senior in highschool so im starting to apply to colleges and im not sure if i should try to stay close to him.....i love him to death but im not sure if its worth risking screwing up my life to go to a school with/ near him and end up breaking up.....should i compramise my education just because i love him?

first off, i definately believe in high school sweet hearts. i know a lot of people that are married now that were highschool sweethearts! and i think that if the love both you guys have are strong enough, distance and wat schools you guys go to wont make a difference. i think you should persue the education that you want, if you guys dont make it...youll find someone better. if you think youre perfect with this guy...imagine how perfect youll be with the real one youre meant to be with :]

Sometimes high school sweethearts really do get married, but not that often. Things change when you go off to college. You are no longer in your safe little world where mom and dad watch over you. You meet lots of different people and you change your way of looking at things.
Most of the time the high school sweethearts cannot change in the same way and end up breaking up. You need to think of your future for what you want to do - not who will be in it. More than half of the marriages end in divorce today. You may need to have a good education to support yourself later in life.
