Ok, the last time I got my hair professionally colored it cost me over $100 and I wasn't all that happy with the results, so I decided to take matters into my own hands and do it myself. My hair is naturally dark blonde and I wanted to go real light blonde ala Marilyn Monroe. Well, anyway, a friend told me that since my hair is so dark, I should dye it gradually lighter and she said that I could dye it one color and then a lighter color just a few days later and it wouldn't hurt my hair. Well, I dyed it lighter a few days ago and then again tonight. I accidentally got this stuff called Bleach Blonde. I thought that was the name of the color, but it was actually a bleaching product. Well, needless to say, my hair looks awful! It's like really pale yellow! What should I do? Should I leave it alone for a month so I don't totally distroy it, or can a professional fix it now without killing my hair??

It won't help your hair or your budget to continue to put more stuff, without giving your hair and scalp a rest.

There is a product that will cover the mistake while you wait to make your hair stronger with conditioners, any one that has worked for you in the past is fine.

PRODUCT: FANCY FULL. FROM ROUX. RINSES IN, SHAMPOOS OUT, INSTANT FORMULA,

no peroxide, no ammonia, keeps color looking its best between color treatments, evens tones or removes brassiness, blends away gray .It comes in different shades of colors, you can choose the one that is closest to your own color.

First of all DO NOT dye it again. The only thing you can do at this point is use a product without harmful indredients like amonia etc
go to this website:

Buy the toner. All of these products made by Special Effects are plant derivitives so they will not harm your hair. Wash your hair with a mild shampoo like baby shampoo then towel dry your hair and use the toner. This toner will get rid of the yellow tones but do not leave it on longer than the time says. Immediately rinse it when your time is up I believe it is 45 mins. Your hair may look purple afterwards but trust me it will rinse out after a couple days/washes tops and you will be left with a more neutral/white even blonde. If this doesnt give you the platinum color you want you can redo it again in a few days. After all is said and done I would also deep condition at least twice a week and between deep conditionings use a good conditioner with vitamin E in it, this will help to smooth your hair and keep it from frizzing/showing damage. The Special Effects line is THE absolute best toner and hair color I have ever used and I dye my hair wacky colors 3 times a month and have natural black hair.. Good luck!

You should fix it now, no need to suffer with bad looks for a month. I'd recommend going to a salon and having it toned with neutral color. Toners are pretty safe for your hair.

My understanding is that you want that yellow-gold shade out. Blue cuts gold. If you don't want to tone it at a salon you can try blue colored rinse. It is called White Minx. You apply it after every wash. The best new is, if you don't like how it looks - you can rinse it out right away. It is not permanent. You can buy it at a Beauty Supply store. Some drug stores might have it, but unlikely.

Don't use any more of the drug store bleaching products. You don't know what chemicals you will be putting on top of those other chemicals that you already have on your hair now. The color might end up ugly green. I'm not kidding.

oh honey i am so sorry this happened to you.

yes u can have it fixed...

you need to call a salon and tell them you need a demi permenant put all over. it will work as a toner. Redken Shades EQ color called Platinum Ice(09v) will take out the yellow and leave your hair pretty much white. (or platinum - marilyn monroe)

then buy a good conditioner (redken heavy cream) and leave your hair alone for a while. wash it only every other or even less if you can get away with it

this toner should solve all the yellow problem and now NEVER NEVER NEVER do you own blonde again!!!!!!!!

blonde is the hardest color to do on your own if you do not have the correct products and know how

Good Luck Sweetie!!!

You should go to a salon and get reconstructor treatments(deep conditioning) first and then have them put a toner on your hair or you could go to a beauty supply and get one. You could use a demi hair color,a demi hair color deposits color only, less damaging. If your hair isn't to damaged I think you should be able to fix this and be alright, you just need to tone down the yellow. The Redken shades are good. Good luck.

I'm surprised that you still actually have hair left on your head!!!I'm sure that your hair is seriously over processed. I recommend that you see a pro for some reconstructing and moisturizing treatments.DONT USE ANY CHEMICAL SERVICES until your hairstylist is sure that the hair is good and strong. If the color is not appealing to you try semi or demi -permanent haircolr.. dont be surprised if you have to find a new haircut also. PS RULE OF THUMB NEVER USE CHEMICAL SERVICES LESS THAN TWO WEEKS APART!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you should fix it right away, or the color'll stay and everything's gonna go really wrong! I think you might need to go to a doctor and ask, cuz that might be a really serious problem. Try and dye your hair again or wash your hair several times a day; cuz that might help.

I would call a salon immediatly and see what they can do for you and see how much it would cost...also ask them if there is anything that you could do at home, as you might not have the expensive costs for salon treatment, but if you do, deff. have them do it
