I was thinking of going on a Fruit only diet, and a 1hr aerobic/running workout every morning...

Any other ideas?

Everything takes time... if you lose it in 2 weeks... you'll gain it back in 2 days... i say try losing it over the course of 3-4 months...

First how tall are you and what do you presently weigh if you are presently a healthy weight and a normal body fat content DON'T DIET you are a fool if you do and keep in mind muscle weighs a lot more than fat by mass so the more you exercise the more you weigh and the thinner you will be I am 48 years old 5'11" and 210 lbs with a 35" waist and about 22 % avg body fat I don't diet just work many people who have no reason to worry about weight stop there are a lot of things other than that to worry about if you truly are a person who has a body fat problem get off you but quit watching TV and get some exercise and slowing down on Twinkies with a more sensible diet will if you are not to far out of the ballpark make you look and feel better about yourself in 2 to 4 weeks if you are way off and people are calling you names DON"T LISTEN TO THEM but for your own pride and health talk to your doctor and have him give you a check-up first then get a book on proper and healthy diet and start a program of exercise that makes sense and work up slowly and remember it is not just what you eat but how much all the fat free foods mean nothing if you keep stuffing your face with them the key is something most people won't do USE YOUR HEAD

Healthy Weight Loss : Start right away
In order to consistently keep your weight under control, it is advisable to walk about 10,000 steps daily. It is the easiest activity among all the exercise programs and does not involve stress to the body. Apart from the activity of walking, a systematic dietary pattern should be followed so that you are always free from the obesity symptoms.

Generally people, who are overweight, are usually not interested in physical activities. They prefer doing any type of work but without moving from one place to another. They usually enjoy watching TV and having something to eat. For this category, fixing a program like aerobics or floor exercises would require great efforts. Therefore walking is the most recommended form of exercise. For the beginners it is ideal to walk for 15-20 minutes daily. Gradually, the time can be extended daily until they are capable of walking 60 minutes a day.

When the doctors prescribe pills for the patients, they advice the patients to spend some time walking around. The tablets are effective only when combined with the healthy dietary patterns and a daily exercise activity. Losing weight is a difficult task, and people who are disciplined and take exercise seriously, would lose weight. So take your exercise activity seriously and be active throughout the day.

Why not try SureSlim ... they'll do blood tests, etc before recommending a balanced diet for you.

I'm not sure if you will lose the 15lbs in two weeks - it probably depends on how large you are to start with - but eating a balanced diet will be much healthier than just fruit.

However you will definitely lose other sorts of pounds, the ££££ kind, lol. I have a feeling that it costs quite a bit of money to register with them.

Well to lose 15 pounds in 2 weeks is pretty difficult and quite unhealthy. If you really want to lose 15 pounds you may need to set a more realistic goal like 1 month. I personally have lost 20 pounds in 2 months. If you go on a crash diet you will most likely end up gaining the weight back. Take your time. The weight will come off. Good Luck

Fruit only diet won't work, you need a balanced diet, so you need your carbs for energy, protein for muscle repair etc. Fruit only diet will just make you weaker until you can't jog as much or as far as you would like.
Aerobic training & running is a good way to lose the weight although dont forget to give your body a day of rest (or two) to help it repair and get ready for the next run. Try to run every second day to let your leg muscles rest or you will stress your knees out too much & it can become painful to run.

Don't eat...Seriously, that's about the only way. Unless you weigh about 500 pounds, losing more than 2 pounds a week will be a challenge. Do your body a favor and do it gradually. I started running twenty minutes a day three years and 20 pounds ago, now I can run forty miles a week and am more than happy with my body. Do it gradually, get some friends together and be dedicated to your goal. What you're planning is unsafe and chances are the weight will come back in a matter of times after you stop.

Pink Carnation,
You should not be thinking of losing weight this fast unless medically supervised. Most popular diets aim to lose people about 3lbs per week.
If its a special event you're planning for you could lose some weight and wear "slimming" clothes to make up the difference.
Long black or dark dresses worn with a jacket and without a belt can make people look much slimmer without losing an ounce in weight!!!
Spend some hard earned readies on a new outfit; it's much easier and safer than going on a suicide diet.
Good Luck!!!

You're doing this all wrong.

You're looking for a "diet" that you can "do" until you get "back into shape." Then, of course, you can stop "doing it."

That's allll wrong.

You need to look at a LIFESTYLE change that will last FOREVER. You know... eating differently, getting more exercise, etc. In fact, it will demand that you change your lifestyle as much as if you CHANGED RELIGIONS.

From the top:

Your body is a machine. You take in fuel (carbs in your food, measured in calories) that your body burns (exercise). IF you take in more than you burn then you will gain weight, as extra energy is stored in an ever-increasing number of fat cells. If you burn more than you take in, then your body uses up the stored energy, although the fat cells remain.

When you "diet" like you describe, your body gets primed to gain it back even faster. You get more and more fat cells each time you gain weight, and when you lose, the brain thinks, "Well, we're prone to shortages of food, so we'll store it even FASTER next time."

Instead, you need to find a way of eating where your fuel intake is at the very level that your body is burning. In addition, you need to bump up your exercise level. To lose one pound per week, you need to change your calorie / exercise balance so that you either burn 3500 more calories per week, or decrease your intake by 3500 a week, or some combination that equals 3500.

One carton of McD's fries equals an one-hour killer -- and I mean KILLER, as in running, treadmill, etc -- workout. However, you can fill up on many other things, such as veggies, and not have very many calories at all, certainly not as many carbs. Sooo... you can eat fries, but then you have to pay the price for an hour.

Last thing... don't do diet pills. They do one or more of the following: Make you poop more, make you hyper (caffeine effect), suppress appetite. When you stop the pills, the weight will come back WITH A VENGENCE. While you take the pills, you'll have health risks from the side effects.

You would have to fast at least 2 days a week, in addition to eating smaller portions on the rest of days. Time flies when occupied. If you aren't hungry, don't eat. That amount of loss is extreme, though. Men lose faster than women, but shoot for 2 or 3 lbs. each week. I don't like the friut only, or anything, only. You need protein. Think about boiled egg, lean chicken and fish.
