My mom's cheese bread has THICK veins of cheddar cheese running through it. Not like the recipes I've found on the net with shredded cheddar kneaded in. Could I add chunks of cheese to any bread recipe? My mom's bread is more dense, mine is more light & fluffy I'm afraid they will disingegrate from the oil. Thx!

Why not give it a shot! I'd suggest using those Kraft "Crumbles" as they ahve enough substance to not melt into oblivion, but are not great big cubes to get stuck in yhour teeth.

I think I'd toss in a few diced jalapeno slices, maybe some garlic as well......
