Irish cream and Whiskey
Butterscotch and Whiskey
Most Liqueurs will go with each other, best one i ever made was dubbed the Mexican (cos it cam out looking like their flag, not because it tastes Mexican at all) it's a triple layer of of three liquors, 1 layer melon, 1 layer banana and 1 layer strawberry.... it's great.
Try mixing beer with anything fizzy that's flavored orange if the opportunity comes up.
Melon Liquor and Irish cream... its nice though its called a bloe job (hahaha cop that security on yahoo) so never order it off a female bar tender... ended up with a black eye but that's another story....
and if all of these fail... get a cocktail book, a good one not a lesser one.
