its only for one day...my straighener broke and i need it for a wedding in 2 hours!!! no time to go buy another conair o any other straighener, so can i use an iron??!!!

Yeah, like in the 70s they did that, and it's really quick, but be careful. My friend did it for an event and she had someone do it for her, and it looked great, but if the other person din't do it for her she would of gotton burnt

I agree with jeni o, plus straightening your precious hair with an iron ment for cloth/fabric could not only damage your hair but be very dangerous; imagine if you hand slipped and you burned your face! that be completly terrible, expecially before a wedding.

Yes you can. My cousins and used to do t to each other. The only thing is that you can't get too close to the roots with a clothes iron. it's just as effective in flattening and just as ghetto as making grilled cheese, with an iron.

of course you can just ask a friend to help you and your hair is not going to burn off as long as you dont put it in high heat its pretty much common sense and since this would be your first time doing it it wont damage your hair as much...just ask your friend to help you straighten it by you lying down on top of a sheet and put a towel under your hair and let your friend iron it

no dont!! your hair will smell like burnt french fries! just use alot of gell or hairspray and hope for the best.

You probably could its just that you will have curled ends, but you should use a straightning iron. but in your case you probably could.

make sure you put a towel between your hair and yhe iron.

My Friend used to do it but it's very dangerous because you can accidentally burn your scalp.
