I had a baby 5 months ago (my second) and I didn't have a cycle for the first couple of months because of breastfeeding. I had him in may and in August I didn't start my period back until the 30th. it ended on Sept. 5. now it is Oct. 18th and i still have not started. we do use protection, but not birthcontrol pills, patch, ring or shot......need not say anymore......is this normal after pregnancy or am i pregnant again. i don't remember how it was after my first child......help me please!!!

well, it could just be your hormones leveling.

but if you haven't cycled in a few days, take one of those new preggar tests, and then you will know.

if you aren't wanting to conceive again, you may want to use more than one form of birth control.

keep in mind nothing is 100% effective except abstaining

Sounds like you could be but it also sounds like your periods are really irregular. I would get a blood test to find out for sure. I think if you are worried about it you should look into birth control if it ends up that you aren't. There are a few kinds you can take while breast feeding and after that maybe try something other than the pill like an IUD if it is hard for you to remember to take the pill.

You could be pregnant.. but also your period will probably be irregular for awhile because of the breastfeeding. It takes a few more months to become completely regular again. My best suggestion is to go take a pregnancy test and find out! Goodluck!

Take a test...you could very well be pregnant again since you weren't using the pill, etc. (and even those are not 100%). To get pregnant again so soon will be rough on your body, so the sooner you know the better. Good luck

At many Stores with a pharmacy they sell an inexpensive EPT (early pregnancy test), they fairly accurate. Dollars stores have them too, I think. They less than $3 and I have heard some are $1 depending on where you buy them. It cheaper than going to a Doctor to find out.

Sounds to me like you could possibly be. Just take a test when you feel your ready to know. Sorry there are so many rude people on hear leaving answers. If people don't want to be nice and answer appropriately shouldn't answer at all...And no we aren't doctors but we are women, mothers and know from experience. So people quit being rude.
