I had prescriptions with me when I went to South Africa, and it was never mentioned, I don't even think they saw them. But just incase I would bring a doctors note and/or the prescription and make sure theyre in the original bottles.

Generally your passport identification can be enhanced by your
pharmacist for this location. The Egyptian rules of prescriptions themselves
may be somewhat complex to you, the point being the south middle east
or some of the north are different food chains. The things we eat can be
sold as medicines in some countries, example in this area lemons, and
tourist foods like dates are prepared for high vitamin. This is all complex
and should not be a problem if you do not barter with local shops to fill.
The right plan is to get locations of pharmacists from embassy and hotels.
Make sure your doctor approves of all medications relative to the new menu.

You can carry prescriptions on us flights as long as they are labeled and the name on the boarding pass and identification matches the label. If you have any liquid form of medication you need to declare that before you enter the security process with TSA for boarding your flight. You will be asked the number of liquid medications that you have, and how many ounces they are each. You must declare baby food such as formula, liquid cream or gel medication, and diabetic liquid needs. Any other formula has to be 3 ounces & under and placed in a quart size ziplock bag comfortably and not bulging at the seams. If you purchase beverages or any other liquid items inside terminals you may carry these on the aircraft. If you leave the secured area to go outside they must be discarded.

You should take the original container that they came in. You should also take a doc note as to why you are taking them. What if something happen i.e.: you get sick, lose your meds, or need more. Its better be safe then sorry. And because you are going to the Middle East customs is always not so nice to people travel there. I traveled to Lebanon in the spring and I took loads of meds because I was staying for 3 mths. Meds I wasn’t sure I find there. I was glad I did my son got real sick in the last mth there and they gave us meds. I tried them for one week and they didn’t work to keep his fever down so I gave the ones I brought and he got better.

Ps: if you are going to layover in Paris be prepared to wait for ever both ways

I would carry the doctors presciption with you. If they don't pull you aside to search your bags the will never see them. Keep in mind that security checks in any country can confiscate anything they please.
