can the queen elizabeth be above the law. Just supposing for instance that she commited a crime. Could she be tried for that in a court of Law, and if found guilty, be sentenced.

i hope so because it should be 1 rule for all you do a crime you do the time head of country or not but to be honest i think it would be covered up befor it ever got to court

no 1 is above the law, everyone found guilty will be prosecuted but what makes you think about the queen commiting a crime?

The law in this country is all carried out in her name. You cannot prosecute the Queen, she, supposedly is the law. Therefore she is above the law!

No, the Queen is not above the law, but if Mr.T. Blair can get away with an illegal war, who's to say she wouldn't get away with whatever she did wrong anyway?

If Madonna is above the Law... Then old Lizzie definitely is.. Technically the UK Monarch...is the Law...No one would have the Balls to try and charge her..

No. The Queen cannot be arrested or charged with any offence.

If she were to murder her husband, while that would be quite understandable, she would be forced to abdicate and then she could face prosecution.

No one should be above the law, unfortunately for regular folk, the more money you seem to have the easier it seems to be to hire someone to find the loopholes.
