Peanut Butter Cookies
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup peanut butter

3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1. Mix sugars, peanut butter, shortening, butter and egg in large bowl. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cover and refrigerate about 2 hours or until firm.
2. Heat oven to 375ºF.
3. Shape dough into 1 1/4-inch balls. Place about 3 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten in crisscross pattern with fork dipped into sugar.
4. Bake 9 to 10 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool 5 minutes; remove from cookie sheet. Cool on wire rack.

Here is the easiest recipe for peanut butter cookies
1 cup peanut butter 1 cup sugar 1 egg
mix well, roll into small balls put on cookie sheet.
Dip the flat bottom of a glass in water and then in sugar, press balls flat.
Bake at 350 for 8 to 12 minutes until lite golden brown.
Let cool before you remove from pan

INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup white sugar

2 eggs 1 cup creamy peanut butter

DIRECTIONS:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2. In a medium bowl, cream together the margarine, peanut butter, and sugar. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt; stir into the peanut butter mixture. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto the unprepared cookie sheet.
3. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Do not overbake: cookies will be soft and chewy. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.

Simple P'nut butter cookies
1 C sugar
1 egg
1 C peanut butter
Blend these three ingredients, drop by teaspoonful onto ungreased cookie sheet
Bake in preheated 350 oven for 8 to 10 minutes
This recipe can be doubled or tripled if you want more cookies, the recipe only makes about a dozen.

JOHN'S PEANUT BUTTER DREAMS:
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 cup sifted all purp flour
2 eggs
1 tsp vanill extract
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/3 cup sifted all purp flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
3.4 cup flaked coconut
6 ounces chocolate chips
a. Cream butter with peanut butter thoroughly; add 1/2 cup brown sugar* gradually, beating until fluffy.
b. Add 1 cup flour in halves, mixing until blended after each addition. Evenly press into a greased 9x9x2 inch baking pan.
c. bake at 350 f degrees 10 to 5 minutes.
d. meanwhile, beat extract, eggs and 1 cup brown sugar utnil thick. Add mixture of 1/3 cup flour and the baking powder; beat until blended.
e. Stir in cocnut pieces and chocolate chips or pieces. Evenly spread partially baked layer in the pan.
f. Return to oven and bake 30 minutes.
g. Completely cool and cut into squares or bars.
h. Enjoy!
Make approximately 24.
* 2 little mushrooms of Mexican brown sugar, availalbe at Safeway in a bag = 1/2 cup, once ground in the blender.
