Is he an ex-boyfriend who is now a stalker? or an ex-stalker who isn't stalking anymore? Either way, do your best to ignore him. Don't give mixed messages. If you're nice to him, he may think you still like him. If he is possibly dangerous, get a restraining order.

If it is an ex stalker, be happy and leave him alone and go on about your life.

If he's not stalking you anymore or acting generally creepy I don't see why you can't be friends as long as he doesn't creep you out. Some people go through a weird phase and then get over it and once they're over it sometimes they turn out to be interesting people.

Shot him if he comes around again that should put an end to your troubles! Haul him off and bury him! Take along a couple of good shovels! Ha ha

get a restraining order on him so he can't come near you. you can get one at any court house or police station, if he violates it in any way, call the cops and he gets to spend time in jail. It may be extreme, but he'll get the point.

I'm guessing you are seeing him in social situations. I would just ignore it and make believe it never happened- kindda what you would hope someone would do if you did something as dumb as that. If he becomes a problem again- that's another question.
