Faith is hope. I use to think the same thing all the time until I finally just sat down and prayed that God would help me find meaning in my life. I have never been happier and more content. I am not making this up. This is totally true. I think we feel that way when we see problems around us that it seems like we cannot do anything about. God uses this to make us more dependant on Him.
I came to the realization that I was not in control of my life, God was. This revalation has given me confidence, peace, and faith. God is in control.
Also you should stop to think how awesome it is that the sovreign ruler and creator of everything in existance who created universes with trillions of stars and billions of people on one tiny planet in one tiny solar system of one tiny universe cares about you! I mean really, just think about it. God knows more about you than you do. He cares about you more than you do. He calls you His and a friend. That makes me feel very humble and honored of God's grace. What would make me so important to God? That I am His and I gave Him control of my life.
God Bless. Praying 4 U

Dear Strength for now,
I am sorry that you feel that way every day... yuck.
I pray and ask my friends to pray with me when I am feeling hopeless.
I rely on the bible for the promises and truths that it has regarding the hope we have in Jesus.
Hopefully the following passage will help. When it says to rejoice it doesn't mean to rejoice in hard circumstances, it means that during hard times God will be with you.
Philippians 4:4-9
"Rejoice in the Lord always again I will say rejoice!
Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near.
Be anxious for nothing
but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God which surpasses all comprehension will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Finally brethren whatever is true
whatever is honorable
whatever is right
whatever is lovely
whatever is of good repute
if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise
dwell on these things
The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me practice these things
AND
the God of peace will be with you."
I hope this helps. Do find a friend or two to pray and fellowship with.

If you’re feeling hopeless because of a situation in your life, try to think out all the ways you could change that situation, Sometimes it might take a little time but if something in your life is making you miserable you need to begin working on changing that situation. Pray about it, asking for guidance, but also asking for strength do whatever you need to do to improve he situation.
On the other hand if you are feeling depressed, you really should seek counseling. Try to find a Christian counselor who understands your beliefs. Prayer can help a lot but it still helps to have someone to talk with who can help get you going in the right direction.
Whatever the cause, please know that circumstances change. Many of us have gone through really tough times, but things do get better, and we are usually stronger for being survivors.
To all of you feeling like this, please, whatever you are going though, don’t bare it all alone. Talk to Christ about everything that is troubling you. He is your strengthener, your counselor and your healer. Also seek out help from a counselor or pastor or from a support group. So many of us have been there. You are not alone, but please know that no matter how hopeless everything feels right now, things can turn around.
Hugs to all of you feeling depressed.

I just know that it's not about me, or how I feel. God is God, He always loves me, and I simply have ups and downs. However, when we are feeling like we don't need to pray, or don't want to pray, those are the times where we NEED to pray! Also, go to church, talk with Christian friends, listen to Christian music, read the Bible. Also, if there is a sin that we have not repented of, it can spread and rot our souls. If you are hiding something, get rid of it. Confess it to God, and to whomever you may have sinned against. Ask for forgiveness. I hope this helps, God bless!

search for something that interests you and embrace it. God can only do so much. your prayers may have already been answered and you haven't realized how or when because you are feeling so hopeless that it almost blinds you. what you need to embrace may be a characteristic or trait you own, something people will remember about you. if you can bring happiness and joyful memories to people's thoughts, then your life is not at all hopeless. that makes you Wonderful and Loved.

Life is never hopeless. It is the human ego that needs to try and control everything, that makes it seem hopeless. We cannot see the future, what seems hopeless now may in fact be the sett up for something to happen down the road.

I read a chapter in Psalms and now I am starting into proverbs.
It makes me feel closer to God and when all seems hopeless he will be there for you and help you through it. I promise!

Why is atheism hopeless? I quite do no longer see the logical connection right here between desire and the life of gods. Fill in the hollow in reasoning there for me why is desire predicated on the life of a god?

the peace of God makes the hard times seem easier!!! There is an inner peace that makes it possible for true believers to face the hardest of circumstances and yet with little if any strife. And to quote Jesus "Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?"

Since I've been saved a few years ago, I've never really felt that way. I was a lost sinner and even though I'm still a sinner, I'm no longer lost. God has been so very good to my wife and I. Jesus is my Savior and I talk to God every day. God Bless.
