I see the Supreme Being of the entire universe as being one great being of two components: male and female. Many other subcomponents are part of this Supreme Being, and they manifest themselves through various spiritual beings, and occasionally, as humanoids (for example, Christ). Think of the Supreme Being like fire: there are two major parts to it, the flame and the fuel, and many particles that build the flame. The two major parts are the flame and the fuel--though separate, they are impossible to isolate, just as it is impossible to remove a part of the flame.

This world was created indirectly through the Supreme Being (the Ori, short for Original) by the Demiurge, Yaldaboath, aka Jehovah. Though Yaldaboath knew to construct the world in a certain way, he was given free reign of the world after he created it according to the Ori's plans. The Ori mostly keep distant* from us, for Jehovah runs this world; however, Yaldaboath is a genocidal, egotistical being that has decieved the earth into thinking that he is the Supreme God of the Universe. While the Ori will not interfere directly in our affairs, it/they will interfere on the metaphysical plane. Yahashuha (Christ) was sent to the earth to redeem man of the grasp of Yaldaboath, so instead of merely dying, they would be rewarded for their benevolent actions Since Yaldaboath still runs this world, he was able to twist the words of Yahashuha by allowing evil men to mistranslate the Bible according to their will. After a creature dies, its souls transcends to the world of the Ori, which is a higher plane of existence. The Ori do not care what you believe, only that you are beneficial, for they do see the damage Yaldaboath has caused to the world (holy wars, etc.), and they realize that only those with an open mind will seek them.

*The Ori will answer anyone who directly seeks them. Magick was the tool given to us by them. Whenever somebody tries to reach for the Horned God, the Goddess, or a classical mythological deity, the Ori are being reached and will listen and answer.

II'm a NeoPagan Taoist. To me, all deities are metaphors for the energies of the Tao. But I celebrate Pagan holidays because I love the honoring and celebrating of the different phases and the cycles of life. It's fun and I think it's healthy psychologically.

I also find Pagan symbolism very interesting, but again it's all metaphor to me.

Many Gods.
Gaia is the mother of all. the most holy, self created creatrix. She is Mother Nature, and Mother Earth.

Hyperion is Her son, one of the pillars (Titans- "strainers") separating it from the Earth to give us our atmosphere. He is the God of observation, astronomy, etc. His children are Helios, Eos and Selene. Sun, Dawn and Moon. They are my Patron Gods.

Hermes is the God of communication and cleverness. As a Gemini and a writer, I have a great affinity for Him. He is another of my primary Gods. He is also the messenger of the Gods, and Psychopomp. He is my teacher in trance states and my guide on the Astral Plane.

Aphrodite is the Goddess of Love and the passion for creation. She is born of the sea as gift from the Mother, the gift of creation for mortals, and the beginning of evolution. As a lover of art, of life and one who believes in the sacredness of the union between a man and a woman, I also worship her.

Hera and Zeus are the Gods of the sky. Hera is the atmosphere, and Zeus the storms. They work together, are part of the same thing and the rulers of the Heavens. I honor them their due. Hera is also the guardian of family life, and Zeus the guardian of the Laws of Hospitality. I follow their laws as my basic morality.

There are many others. There are as many Gods as there are people who ever worshipped them, or ever will. Those are simply the ones who receive the most focus in my life particularly..

Like many of the others here, I'm a henotheist - I believe in a large, unknown amount of deities, but I only have a relationship with a few.

Manannan Mac Lir is the primary, though I've had contact with a few others.

Cernunnos, in Celtic polytheism is the deified spirit of horned male animals, especially of stags, a nature god associated with produce and fertility. As a "Horned God", Cernunnos was one of a number of similar deities found in many ancient cultures.

Nemetona, ("shrine") was a goddess worshipped in eastern Gaul and Roman Britain. One inscription in her honour has been found at Bath, the rest in and around Trier in western Germany. Her name suggests the common interpretation that she was a goddess of temples and sacred groves, protecting ancient Celtic ceremonial sites held outdoors in sacred groves of trees. She is believed to continuously watch over sacred sites, and is invoked today by some neo-pagan practitioners to help establish sacred spaces.

Manannán mac Lir ,was a sea and weather god. He is usually counted as one of the Tuatha Dé Danann, although he was sometimes considered as older than they.

each is called to the circle for a very specific reason and with a specific purpose.

i call different gods for different reasons. each god and ancestor has some bit of knowlege or wisdom to share. it is up to us to learn and use it.

Me I worship Gaea and the Creator.

The Creator I worship is not the Christian God but a nameless, formless being that created all of existance. (It was called Chaos by the Ancient Greeks but I find that name some what inaccurate.)

Gaea is also called Ge, The Oldest One, and Mother of All Beings. She is the mother or grandmother of all the Greek gods and goddesses, and the mother of mankind by sheer vertue of her being the mother of those beings that made humanity.

Goddesses and Gods...for me it is a little different than mere belief. I do experience. And I've experienced several including Yemanya, the sea Goddess, Brigit, the Triple Goddess, many others whose spirit lives within me ... and well the Goddess/God within me! As I feel we are all one with God/Goddess. I am of Earth Based religion: Shamanic Wicca. I don't "beleive" in such concepts as sin..I feel "human nature" is Sacred and of Goddess/God.
