my friend think i am going to turn into anorexic cause i skip lunch and breakfast. i am trying to lose weight so i can get from 127 pounds to 90 i am 15 and 5'4. what can i do tell them thats not true

You want to weigh NINETY pounds? At 5' 4"? I'm 5' 0" and 105 pounds, and people tell me I look great. If you seriously want to weigh NINETY pounds, there's gotta be something going on with you. Your weight is normal now, so you don't have to lose so much.

Your friend isn't wrong, she's right. 127 isn't skinny, and 90 is extraordinarilly skinny. What you're doing is not the correct way to lose weight. Skipping meals actually deteriorates your body and you become less healthy. To become more fit, eat smaller more frequent meals everyday and exercise about 3 times a week.

I actually read this very interesting article today about a study done in the 1950s about the effects of putting a body in a semi-starvation mode. It is here: http://www.possibility.com/epowiki/Wiki.jsp?page=EffectsOfSemiStarvation.

If you skip meals, you just might put your body into this mode and the results are kind of scary. Eat a small but protein and complex carb filled breakfast -- your brain NEEDS those things to properly function.

dont skip meals, trust me i tried doing that and although u may lose some weight what happens is ur body will gain it back and then some. u need to eat 3 meals, smaller maybe, but ur body has to continuously be burning ur food, if u starve ur body thinks it wont get anymore and will store ur food instead of burn it.....in the long run u are doing more harm than good. exercise and eat sensibly......i have tried EVERYTHING literally...and starving or skipping meals isnt the answer.

don't try to prove to them anymore that it's not true if they don't believe you. at least you know what you're doing. BUT DON'T skip breakfast and lunch, most especially breakfast. that is the most important meal of the day as it provides you the energy. you can, however, simply have fruits for dinner if you'd like.

I think you should try to eat balanced and nutrious det but do lot of excercise and i dont think 127 is too much for your height. it's pretty average for you height and age.Please dont skip meals as it will only make t worse because you will gain more weight with an empty stomach.

Skipping meal will lead to many disease and sickness!!! Why not exercise??? If you are 90lbs you will look like a stick!!! Look at Lindsey Lohan....if you like that then go for it. I seriously think your weight is fine. ^_^ Just eat so you won't have any sickness. Check the calories and try not to eat over 2,000 calories and make sure you exercise and you'll be perfect.^_^

Actually, skipping meals will cause your body to hold on to food when you finally do eat, and will hurt you more than help. You should be eating more smaller meals during the day to boost your metabolism. And 90lbs is a lil too slim to be sexy...

I think that you should eat. Even if you want to loose weight, not eating is not healthy. You can eat fruit and vegitables and food that doesnt have a lot of carbs or fat. Carrots for example has no fat but a lot of fiber. Good and healthy food dont have a lot of fat in it. I would not eat donuts, candies, and junkfood. But make sure you do eat. Good Luck

90 pounds, YIKES!! you should lose weight the healthy way, instead of starving yourself. Like exercising, and eating healthy. Like eating more fruits and veggies and cut out the junk food.
