Why don't you wait until your daughter's 10-12 yrs old, then she'll be able to make up her own mind whether she wants her body mutilated.
It annoys the hell out of me why Mothers want to use the children as fashion accessories and/or an extension for their own tacky lifestyle.

Everyone says??? That's a sweeping generalisation!! I think piercing a baby's ears is ludicrous - unless of course it is part of a religion/culture then I have more tolerance.
A baby has no control over their movements so it's quite likely they can rip them out by accident - and what happens when they start to roll over in the middle of the night and they snag the earring on the blankets?? Or on some piece of clothing when you're getting them dressed? And so on..... They will mess with them no matter when you get it done in the first few years.
Wait till they're coming into their teens when it becomes a bit of excitement for them and they start to feel a bit more grown up and glam with their new jewellery.

relies upon the way it is accomplished and the form you manage them after. uncertain in the event that they nevertheless use the hollow punch issues yet that replaced into how I had mine accomplished and the soreness replaced right into some million and long gone in a 2nd. i've got self assurance the needle and potato approach is extra painful and ice helps yet freezing your ears is painful in itself. you could desire to look after them very heavily - no longer mess approximately with the studs - sparkling them with alcohol or disinfectant two times an afternoon - and not take the studs out for some month. in case you utilize hair products then shop your hair faraway from them too. Then shop jewelry in them or they'll start to % up. Drink a great variety of water to help combat infections. Sorry, in all probability extra information than you % yet we don't % you to get nasty infections will we?

Why don't you wait until your daughter can ask you? Putting holes in your body hurts, anyone that says it doesn't is a bloody liar, I've had my tongue pierced twice, my belly button done twice, ears done 6 times & I have tattoos, they all hurt, I won't lie. Piercing you babies ears is a bit vain really, what is it going to gain?! Is it going to change her life in any way at all?! Probably not, it's so she'll look cute!
Wait until she's old enough to say the words herself!

i got my daughter ears done in Claire's accessories when she was 7months, and they give us an appointment to have a check up at 6 and 12 weeks after having it done. u have to take ur child red medical book so they can check she is up to date with her jabs.
they mark the baby's ear with a pen 2 make sure the piercing will be level. and they use 2 shop assistants (one on each ear). but u do what u think is best 4 u and ur daughter. (people say get it done early so the child won't mess with it.
gud luck on what u decide

I would never get a babies ears pierced, it look cheap and tacky. You wouldn't give you son a tattoo cos you thought it looked nice, it's the same thing really. My mum got mine done when I was two and I wish she never had, I should have been the one to be able to make the choice.

It's a baby NOT A DOLL!!! Let her be old enough to decide if she wants them pierced. What's wrong with that? They are at higher risk to ripping them out too.
PIERCED EARS ON BABIES AND LITTLE GIRLS ARE TACKY AND CHEAP. Parents who do that to children should be ashamed.
I don't get why people think the earlier the better. If it's so horrible why inflict it on a tiny baby? I think most people would like to have a say in what happens to their body especially something 100% cosmetic.

my daughter wants to have her ears pierced and she is 7yrs. I would say wait till shes old enough to make her own decision as not all children/adults like the idea of their ears being pierced. and your getting it done for your reasons and not your child's as a baby can't say mummy i want my ears piercing. and just think how awful you would feel if they were to become infected which still happens no matter how clean you keep the ears. as i said my daughter has expressed a wish to have hers done so i have told her that if she still wants it doing next summer after shes 8yrs i will take her to get it done in the holidays. it was she who approached me i didn't suggest it to her. leave it to her when shes she older she will make up her own mind.
i myself was told by my mother that when i was old enough to go get it done without her being there and i could pay for it myself then i could have it done. i was 17 when i got my ears done and now i have 7 piercings in total (in my ears i don't have any body piercings) and they have all been my decision and not my mothers. well thats just my view

That is just so very wrong......I feel sorry for her if she is barley a year old and already you are planning on hurting her.......get your own ears pierced then imagine that times 10 for a baby.....think about what would happen if you scared her for life or if she got ill from the piercing....you still want to do this? Then people like you shouldn't be allowed kids.
