and if you do, does it physically take a toll on that person?

Yes and sometimes.

Yes I know people, myself included, who have done the whole "laying on of hands" healing thing. Depending on what is being healed and how gifted they are, it can take a LOT out of a person. Or, it may take nothing at all.

For instance, it would take very little to heal a case of the sniffles. But it would take a lot to heal a tumor.

Even a person who has very little of the gift of healing, or no gift at all, can heal a person. It would take a lot of sacrifice though. Fasting and prayer along with living a very obedient (to God) and thus "righteous" life. That in itself can be trying.

A person is healed by energy. This is a component that Christians AND Pagans can agree on. We just don't agree on where that energy comes from. Christians say God. Pagans say self, or rocks or trees or what not... Energy none the less.

So if the healer is a highly gifted healer less stress is needed. Christians will call this anointing. If you are highly anointed, essentially your spiritual pipes are far more wide and clean for the Shekinah - or spirit of God - to flow through.

If a healer's anointing is minimal, or if they've been leading a sinful life and yet still honestly want to heal an individual, it can be done, but it will take a lot out of the healer.

Make sense? or have I just started speaking in tongues?

Dear "Angel of Death" you are quite mistaken. There have been several scientifically confirmed cases of healing after hands have been laid upon an individual.

True, Benny Hinn and Oral Roberts were both proven fakes but folks still follow them.

There is a power of healing. I have seen it personally with friends that I know, healed from cancer, tumors, and back problems. It has been medically documented with before and after x-rays and Cat-scans. Proven FACT. The one laying on hands ususlly doesnt get too worn out

One close friend had stage 3 cancer, had lost all her hair, and was making preparations to DIE within weeks. One night as the man of God prayed for her, she felt the fire of God hit her and instantly, she knew she was healed. The following week, she went to the doctor and it was confirmed. They could not find any cancer whatsoever!!

the one praying must believe that Gods power can heal through him/her, and the one being prayed for must believe that they can be divinely healed. We had another confirmed case in my church just this past weekend. Cancer is GONE - Disappeared, eliminated, no trace

Not once,as in ever has a faith healing been independently confirmed, and several prestigious medical groups have laid down the challenge. All they want is actual respected doctors to examine both before and after the supposed healing. Oral Roberts has never taken anyone up on it,neither has Benny Hinn, they are simply scam artists working peoples gullibility to make a buck, nothing more.

Forgiving could be confusing. no person enjoys being abused, robbed, or wronged. It happens. in case you are able to forgive a trespasser on your heart and take the severe highway, others will see the type you dealt with it and learn from it. Or, a minimum of the Lord will know which you have forgiven them. sometimes, it comes lower back to hang-out the trespasser. Others will could desire to look ahead to the in simple terms top judgment. My father become additionally very abusive. He ought to never fathom why absolutely everyone could supply their not common earned funds to a church or any charity. He ought to never settle for Christ no count how plenty we prayed for him. He died a lonely and pitiable guy. no person shed a tear whilst he become long gone. I parent the Lord has already forgiven me greater suitable than i'm going to to others. So, i think i'm on the plus ingredient and could stay forgiving.

Anyone can pray to God and ask Him to help if a loved one is sick or injured. Ask God to speed the healing process, make the person more comfortable, It doesn't necessarily mean a miracle will happen and over night the person will be completely healed, but if you have faith it can, and will help.

Well, people can't "heal". And neither can Jesus. Healing comes from God, 'cause He is powerful. But through words and seeking God's help and dedication, people can help heal. Prayer is a powerful tool.

I know someone who claims to occasionally have success with it....but then later, some claim the effects "wear off".

...placebo effect...all of it...I wish it were not the case.

it shouldn't - because the power would come from God (and his power is ever-sufficient and never tiring) I've heard of stuff like that in the eastern countries before...
