If it is genuinely part of your religion, I don't think they can do much about it, sweetheart. Wear it anyway and if they say anything, blame it on me.

It's possible that some may not understand the meaning, or have just jumped to the hasty conclusion that "person wearing pentagram" = "Satanist" or "evil person."
But, here in the US (I'm assuming that is where you are from), we have freedom of religion--and that carries over to the schools. A lot of people seem to interpret this as applying only to THEIR religious beliefs, but it is for everyone. You should have every right to wear your pentagram. If people don't agree with it, or don't like it, they can look the other way when you walk by or grow thicker skins.

Sure it's unfair but it's also in a way for your protection. Any symbol that's not widely accepted will cause some trouble. But then again why go around showing what you believe in to people who don't ask? (Don't worry, I'm not picking on you, I'm somewhat of a pessimist) My suggestion: wear it and fight the system if a problem arises. Who are they to define what a cult or gang is anyway? Haha I doubt this'll help but there's my two cents

Some people still think the pentegram is evil-they dont get that it has nothing to do with evil at all. Some people have fought to wear theirs-it goes against freedom of religion-and they have won.
note: you can always wear it under your clothes if you dont want to fight the issue.
(the pentagram is not a symbol of satanists (except maybe upside down) its normally used as a sign of witchcraft.

No you are not overeacting! It's an outrage how people do that. What do they call Christianity? It's just a cult gone bad...If I were you I'd so take this up to the next level. That violates your rights to free speech. And if your principal has a problem with it take it to the superintendent. And if the superindentend has a problem with it sue. It's not fair! Your doing the right thing. I hate the way other religions (not mentioning any names) have to posses the world.

It's unfair for these other religious symbols to be allowed and yours to be singled out and disallowed. Crosses and the Star of David are worn by gang members, too, but apparently the school board hasn't chosen to ban them. Singling out your religion is un-American. You should fight this injustice. Write to the principal and the school board and explain your situation. If necessary, contact the local branch of the ACLU for assistance.

Tell them that it is a part of your religion and if they are going to make you take it off they should ban all religious paraphanelia in the school, including crosses, buddah, stars of David, and even the phrase "Under God" in the Pledge of Allegience. See how badly you bother them with that last one. Trust me it is unfair.
You could also tell them it is your right to express yourself and wearing a symbol of your religion is a part of that. Free Speech.

I'd look into if there really is a gang in your neighborhood using that or not. I mean around here, some schools wouldn't let kids wear white t-shirts and jeans because that's what this local gang was wearing - so wierd.

Okay kiddo. Here's the deal. You want to wear your pentacle to show it off. Real witches wear it close to their hearts and don't feel the need to announce their faith.
If I were you, I'd get over it and find other battles to fight. Witches have never been popular. Never will be. Be glad that our president didn't actually get his way....he'd be burning souls at the stake if he could.
If you really are a witch (and you're young so I have a strong feeling that it's just a phase) you'll learn to understand that your differences include social limitations. Learn to cope or face the consequences.
Unfair? Yeah. But such as life.

You can and should take that up with the school board. They cannot stop you from wearing a pentacle if others are allowed to wear crosses.

You can take the school to court. Many gangs wear crosses too. ACLU can help if you don't want to go that far.
