No food restriction as far as abscence of gallbladder is concerned. For diabetes avoid sugar and sugar containing stuff. No organ meat, a little red meat, some chicken. Fish u can take as desired but of course not too much to make you overweight. For diverticulosis take high fibre diet which is also good for diabetes but start high fibre diet only when infective part of diverticular disease has been completely controlled.

You should consult with your doctor on this as he/she can better advise you.

I had my gallbladder removed in 1994. I found that I have to avoid greasy and fried foods, chocolate, and anything that has a lot of fat in it. Those things tend to make me feel sick afterwards.

Fats, greases, raw fruits and vegetables should not be included. You should stay on the same kind of diet Which followed before the surgery, that is, a bland low fat diet.
Eat a low-cholesterol, low-fat diet. This kind of diet includes cottage cheese, fat-free milk, fish (not canned in oil), vegetables, poultry, egg whites, and polyunsaturated oils and margarines (corn, safflower, canola, and soybean oils). Avoid foods with excess fat in them such as meat (especially liver and fatty meat), egg yolks, whole milk, cream, butter, shortening, lard, pastries, cakes, cookies, gravy, peanut butter, chocolate, olives, potato chips, coconut, cheese (other than cottage cheese), coconut oil, palm oil, and fried foods.
