I have had a couple of bad experiences with some past girlfriends and since then i tend to be very strict with the way i handle my relationships i do not believe that a cheater deserves to be forgiven, i think cheating itself is simply an act of selfishness and disrespect and those who do it are not worthy of second chances whoever i often wonder if that's always the case, experience has taught me that cheaters don't change but i have been in situations where i had to put some consideration before making my decision, thus i wonder is it ever okay to forgive a cheater?

I have believed once a cheater always a cheater. I have given many bf's "second" chances and have always gotton hurt in the long run. So I know how you feel. To tell you the truth yes its ok to forgive a cheater but watch out. The person definitely would have to prove there trust and be sincere. Otherwise, don't put yourself through emotional pain because she couldn't be devoted to you.

I would forgive a cheater,but i wouldn't stay with one because i'm afraid that he'd do it again. So yes, i would say it's okay to forgive a cheater....

I think a cheater can be forgiven if she or he is willing to change. However, it should never be forgotten, and you should always be cautious and aware of what's going on.

While we should always theoretically "forgive", that doesn't mean that you have to give them another chance.
Personally, once I have been betrayed, I cannot trust again - therefore the relationship is doomed anyway.

Hmmm. I guess it's OK to forgive them, but not to keep the relationship going. Do that and lose all self-respect.

Once a cheat ... always a cheat ... atleast you must expect it once again in your life from that person. So the best thing is forget her and look for someone better.
