Idiots Guide to Genital Hygeine - The perineum should be washed regularly with water and mild soap. The vagina does NOT generally require washing or rinsing. Mild genital odour is normal and common - it can be minimized by following proper genital hygiene. Poor hygiene, infection, sensitivity reaction to a product or a forgotten tampon may be responsible for unpleasant odour or irritation. If proper genital hygiene does not alleviate these symptoms then consult your physician.

So - the symptoms that you are describing sound like an infection. The only infection that should be treated without consulting a physician is a yeast infection. So...you need to see your physician....and soon. Just because there isn't a lot of pain doesn't mean that there isn't an infection and that it isn't doing damage. It could be an std, bacterial vaginitis, allergic reaction...etc. Bottom line - see your doctor.

Many people have recommended douching. Vaginal douching is a process of instilling fluid into the vagina to flush the cavity. There is no substantial benefit to routine douching and there are concerns that it may disrupt the normal vaginal flora or increase the occurrence of genital irritation. Douching may also play a role in the development of infections of the genital tract. Although they aren't recommended, occasional douching (no more than 3 times per month) is not harmful if appropriate solutions and technique are used and a vaginal infection is not present. So, for you - douching is not an option. It could mess up the results for your physician and cause more problems.

First of all I can't believe all these incorrect answers and, from girls. It must be stifling in your classrooms. First, don't put anything into your body without seeing your doctor. He'll let you know what to use. If you can't see a doctor for some reason use something mild off the shelf from your pharmacist, he can suggest something like Massingel or Monostat. Forget home remedies, you may make it worse. Body fluids do smell, from what, your doctor can take samples and have tests run, it could be simple and probably is if your not ill. It's probably a simple yeast infection, frustrating but not impossible to quell.

it is a yeast an infection, yet once you haven't any longer have been given any itching it in all probability isn't.. to no longer say you won't be able to have one with out it being itchy. in the journey that your in contact that it may be an std, communicate on your boyfriend. i desire he could have advised you if he had one although. yet another possibility, an extremely stable possibility, is bacterial vaginosis. It reasons a great variety of discharge, undesirable smell, and burning whilst intercourse. The undesirable section is you will in all probability could desire to pass to the everyday practitioner for that. i've got had it and its no longer exciting.have not got intercourse returned till you pass to the everyday practitioner although and stop stressing approximately it although i do no longer think of it may desire to be something severe, and stressing approximately it is barely gonna make each little thing worse. oh and for now (with reference to the scent) %. up some vagisil wipes. Then will help a splash with the scent. desire this helps :)

Any discharge should be looked at by a doc and a culture taken. It sounds like bacterial vaginosis. Whatever you do, DON'T douche, unless instructed by a physician. You don't want to kill the good bacteria.

You need to get a check up from a GYN and start douching. Massingill makes a mild one that works.
