We have battled a local LaZBoy store for over 12 weeks now. The way we were treated, lied to, and in the end, they ripped us off for $500 for defective chairs we reported the DAY they delivered them. Weeks and weeks of calls, promises they never kept, lies they told, their employees each contradicting what the other said, and finally refusing to stand behind these so-called "highest quality" chairs have been VERY stressful to say the least! If enough people get together and maybe make a video we can post on the web, the number of hits WILL get their attention! There are SO MANY companies getting away with ripping people off and now they're so confident that we the consumers are so powerless that they laugh or rub it in your face! Surely, we can do something to reverse this trend!

There is a "watchdog" type person I see periodically on the CW/WB network "Daily Buzz" (morning show) You may want to contact him- he usually gets the job done. Good Luck!!

We have had a Lazy-Boy recliner for years and it has taken alot of abuse from our four sons and grandchildren. I like the furniture. But i agree with you on some of the sales-persons in individual stores. We went into a Nashville, Tn. store about 6 years ago to look at recliners and was treated badly from the start and all the way through the shopping experience. Needless to say, we did not buy a chair from them. Employees do represent the store and should be taught how to transact business in a fair and just manner as today's customer could be tomorrows customer and also the family's of these customers.

If you didn't break or damage the chairs yourself... and you have to be honest about that... then I would take it up with the corporate office. Someone there will help you if the local store won't. If you're telling the truth someone will believe you. I would also document the damage with clear, well lit photos to provide proof of your claims. It sounds to me like the dealer is just being a cheapskate.

i dont know what state you are from but here in north carolina one of the news broadcasts has a trouble shooter who one can call whe they experience such problems. usually after a visit from them the store will gladly try to make you happy rather than have have it broadcast to millions of viewers. you can also report them to the better business beaureau, but that wont likely get the results you want as they have probably been reported before.
