I've been refered to one after going thru an u/s, catscan & MRI to find out why I have pain in my abdomin. A mass of bloodcells matching a description of rare liver cancer was found, but a biopsy is not possible because I will most likely hemorrage. Plus I apparently don't fit the typical criteria for this form of cancer. So I'm curious to know what exactly more this specialist can do?

An internal medicine specialist is a doctor who deals mainly with your organs. He or she will likely do some blood work to try and figure out what else may be causing your pain.
