Olsteen makes an excellent motivational speaker for the secular world - but he tends to leave the message of Salvation (the message of the cross) out -which makes him a preacher of the world, not of God.
Is he a good man? Jesus said no man is good, not even himself. Only God is good. Need I say more?

I think Joel is great guy. He is perhaps the most positive man on the planet. Look at his confidence. This is truly a Godly man. I watch him whenever I get a chance. His church is huge, I think it was the Staples Center before in Texas.
He has a great ministry. I have not heard him speak on anything that I would disagree with, but I take everything in with discernment from anyone.
I read his book "Your Best Life Now". It was pretty good and definetly positive minded. I did find the first 3 or 4 chapters somewhat repetative. His writing could use imporvement, but all together a great book.
I think Joel Osteen is a perfect example of the joy of being a Christian. He does not worry and he always encourages. His messages generally don't get really really deep into the Bible, but thats probably another reason his church is so big. Some Christians don't like to hear some things and they leave churchs.
His church is known locally as the "smiling church". Everyone who goes to that church regualarly smiles all the time. I only wish I had the joy and confidence of Joel Osteen. He is a shining example of a good Christian with basic Bible teachings.

I like Joel Osteen. I think he is a great speaker who realises that he has a broad audience that may not necessarily be people who go to church regularly. His speeches focus on the positive side of life rather than the negativity. It's refreshing to listen to Joel Osteen talk about doing good things and how everyone can make a difference in their own lives and someone elses.

Joel Osteen preaches a "feel good" sermon. He appears to be a very kind, gentle person who wants everyone to behave and do what's right and love God above all else. There's nothing wrong with that but maybe he needs to spend more time telling people what's going to happen if they don't accept the Lord and live for Him.

I think he's going to have to be held accountable for what he does as we all are. He preaches "feel good" sermons or shall I say motivational speeches, that doesn't cause a sinner to repent and be saved. If the world loves you, like they love him, then somethings wrong with the message. He has left the foundation of Christ and the Cross. Some people don't preach that because it's not popular and it makes you take a look at yourself. A preacher has to preach against sin, so that people can be convicted, repent, and turn from that sin. Just my opinion.

I can honestly say I have never entertained a single thought concerning Joel Osteen. But thanks for asking.

He is a great man, but I think he preaches too much of the "God wants to make you rich and happy" message. Tell that to all the ones that have died in His name.

Seems like a good guy although I don't agree with his message. But then again, I don't really know much about him.
