I know how this is going to sound and that it may insult a lot of people's intelligence, but let's just look at the possibilities for a moment. Read what the bible has to say about the anti-christ and read what Time magazine is saying about Barack Obama. Seems a bit drastic don't it?
"has become an American political phenomenon in what seems about a nanosecond, and the folks are giddy with anticipation."
All biblical revelations aside, this sounds very promising. But when taking revelations into mind, that is all a part of the anti-christ's plan. Hey, you guys are probably gonna say some negative things in response to this, but that's exactly what this kind of figure would want you to do. Both sources describe this figure as a rock star phenomenon in a sense. Plus he's coming out of nowhere into the picture at the perfect time with all that's going on (i.e. Bush, Iraq, North Korea, etc.).
What's everyone think about this? Am I the only one who sees a possible connection?

Barack Obama has been around just because you didn't know about him doesn't mean he is a rookie at politics. You need to read further into the book of Revelations there are alot of characteristics that the anti-christ has not just sudden political fame. Also in 2000 everyone swore Bush was the anti-christ, grow up just because he is black and has a little bit of power doesn't make him the son of satan.

He is a charismatic politician it doesn't mean he is the son of the devil. Are you going to suggest that JFK, Clinton, or Reagan were somehow the antichrist because they were also charismatic. Do you know that John who wrote Revelations could possibly be criticizing the roman empire in codes to christians about emperor nero? He used the numerological code that was used by hebrew language where words equate numbers meaning the name nero is euqivalent in this ancient hebrew code to 666. This shows that John possibly was criticizing emperor nero who was against christians meaning he was the anti-christ but he couldn' say it outloud so he used codes that fellow christians at that time could decipher.

The bible states that there have already been AntiChrists (1 John 2:18 NIV. "Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour." ) The word antichrist can mean one against Christ or instead of Christ. Technically this term can be applied to many things that have already been happening since the time of Christ. Personally my belief is that the Antichrist was in power in biblical times and still is, I am more inclined to the "instead of Christ" definition. There are many who promote there own religious power more then the power of Christ and the guide he left us (the Bible). What you conclude from there is your own decision.
Just remember what the bible says; Matthew 7:22 & 23 NAS. “Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?' And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.' ”
The followers of the Antichrist practice lawlessness. They break God's law, they disregard the commandments of Jesus. In contrast, Jesus declares in John 14:21 NKJV, “He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”

You're just hating on Obama! Just because the Time magazine is making him out to be something, doesn't mean it's true. Obama is just hot right now and they're running with it. I think he's very natural, honest, and down to earth. At least he's not running about touching young papers on their behinds. (at least not that we know of) Get real.

There is no Antichrist. It's a fairy tale my dear. But, just for the sake of argument, let's say there is... in that case it would have to be Bush.
