Some work by surpressing your appetite in various ways, but as we know, just eating less is not enough to make you lose weight. You have to live a healthy lifestyle in other ways, so steer clear of the pills. There's no easy way to lose weight - it's down to eating a balanced diet, not just eating less, and getting the right excersise. Ask a doctor or dietician for suggestions for your diet, and go to a gym to get an appropriate excersise plan worked out

Obesity is now a International epidemic. All these slimming pills are basically a farce. There might be a temp wt loss but it rebounces to double once medicn has been stopped. There is no clinical proven data to show that Pills are ideal for wt loss.
The only internationally accepted method for weight reduction is Surgery. At Aastha Health Care, Mumbai,India we perform routinely weight reduction surgeries which have a guaranteed wt loss of AROUND 35-40% in over 6 months which remains permanent. No, they don't work. If you read the labels on (most) diet pills, they recommend that you should take the pills/suplements along with eating a healthy diet and excercising. It's the diet and excercise that causes you to lose weight - not the pills! They're just selling you hope in a bottle at a steep price. If diet pills really worked, why is almost half this country's population obese? Diet and excercise is the only way to go for long-lasting weight loss.

None of those so-called diet pills work successfully!Let's start by deleting the word DIET, it's called sensable eating w/choices. I lost at least 55lbs off my secret which i'll share.Don't eat no more than a handful of food at any setting, your stomach muscles are no bigger than your whole fist(especially RAGE against the industry of BSers)and make sure you check with your doctor before changing your eating habits they know your medical history i don't.I was 3x at 210lbs and 5ft,93/4 in yeah HUGEE!!But now i eat sensibly,i still eat cake and treats just not as much of it and drink water( my favorite is flavored water!!)it keeps your body flush of any toxins.I tried many of those wanna-be "diet" pills w/o any success at all.If you can walk a little bit around the house do so it's not "exercise" it's just you time see how cool this is?No,diet just portions and if you eat more than a handful just have more veggies when you can or water! Now if only i could Perfect my acne problem i'd really feel sexy again but hormons are unpredictable.--Desiree S

They suppress appetite - so will work while you take them but as soon as you stop you'll be back where you were before you started - except, unless you've followed a healthy eating plan, you will be less healthy. To lose weight you need to reduce food intake; you can hurry the effect along by reducing the amount of sugar and fat in your diet and increasing the amount of exercise you take, even a daily walk would help - but consult a doctor before you start any regime if you are obese and try not to expect quick results. Take it easy, take your time and the result will be what you wish.

No, diet and exercise together work. I think you are the one who is also posting that you have arthritic knees. If that's the case, you MUST exercise and your diet is crutial. Yes, it hurts, every day. But in the long run, you will feel much better then if you don't modify your diet and start exercise. Begin cycling (easier on the knees then walking). Also stretch. Think about yoga or pilates which are wonderful. And finally, hang in. Pain can be enlightening in itself, as weird as that sounds.

Go bland. Plain, straightforward, unseasoned food such as barbequed chicken, plain rice and a undressed baked potato are nutritious but your palette will tire of these quickly, unlike salty moreish prepared food, which keeps you snacking and piling around the pounds.

Fatty coconut milk: Believe this or not, it contains good fats which can be important for keeping your rate of metabolism ticking. One meal, like the delicious Thai green curry, will be able to increase your metabolism by 5 %, says research published in the International Journal of Obesity.

People who plan their weekly meals are more successful at losing weight than people that don’t. Plan your dishes to add healthy carbs such as fairly sweet potato and wholegrain pasta, green vegetables and lean proteins, buy every one of the ingredients in advance and don’t be tempted to nibble on out or order in.
