Don't cook anything with a lot of garlic in it.
Roasting a chicken is simple (foodnetwork.com) and you could roast the veggies right with it. Then you'd only need a salad. A sure-fire pleaser is always sliced tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil over a few leafs of lettuce. Drizzle olive oil and balsamic vinegar on top.
Whatever you do, be sure to serve dessert. Don't forget dessert.

Just grabbed the first card in the box - we don't know what you have, or what your boyfriend likes to eat.
"Burgundy Beef Pasta" - 4 servings
8 oz. linguini noodles
1 lb. top sirloin; very thinly sliced
2 cloves garlic; minced
1/2 teaspoon thyme
2 teaspoons oil
1/4 lb. mushrooms; sliced
1 (14 1/2 oz.) can Del Monte Original-Style Stewed Tomatoes
1 (8 oz.) can Del Monte Tomato Sauce
3/4 cup dry red wine
Cook pasta as package directs; drain. Saute meat, garlic and thyme in hot oil 3 minutes. Add mushrooms; cook 1 minute. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce and wine. Cook, uncovered, over medium heat 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve over pasta. Garnish with chopped parsley, if desired.

Try a roast with potatoes and carrots in the crock pot. It needs to be cooked for about 8 hours. Start out on low and the last hour or so, turn it on high. Make sure to keep the food covered with water while it cooks. I like to cook in the crock pot. It saves time and you can get yourself ready too while it's cooking!

Something like breaded baked chicken might be good, and it's very easy. Melt butter and brown some garlic in it, and set it aside. Then get some bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, grated cheddar cheese, and Italian seasoning, and mix that all together. Dip your chicken breasts in the garlic butter first, then coat it in the bread/cheese mixture, and put them in a 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 350 for about 30 minutes uncovered, and serve. You can open a can of vegetables, maybe some potatoes or rice, and bread also. It's very easy and SO GOOD!

Boys love steak!!! Make some steak with seasonings or just salt and pepper. Put some potatoes in a dish with lid and a little water and microwave for like 4 min or until they seem soft. Put some canned green beans in pan and cook on stove with salt and pepper. Or you could make some salad. Make some real bacon to go on the baked potatoes and he will be wowed!!

If you have a slow cooker, put in boneless, skinless chicken and your favorite b-b-q sauce and cook 4-6 hours until tender. So easy, a novice can cook supper. Add corn or mashed potatoes or beans, apple sauce, rolls and his favorite dessert.
