a regularly happening CD or DVD performs at 1x velocity (that's what 1x is defined). A 16x velocity basically ability that the gadget is working sixteen situations swifter than a regularly happening CD or DVD. as a result, 48x performs 40 8 situations swifter. once you're saying improve to a 16x CD/DVD burner from a 48x CD-RW/DVD ROM burner, i assume this means that the 16xchronic is able to burning the two CD and DVD, whilst the 48x you could in basic terms burn CD.

This sounds like your D drive is a partitioned hard drive. Your DVD combo drive might then be like E or F. Check them.

are you asking if the D Drive is a dvd drive, if so, no, it can be any drive you name it
