YES! You can and will go to jail immediately for driving on a suspended or revoked license if you get pulled over. Is you license "suspended" or revoked? If suspended you could have it revoked. However if it is "revoked" the penalties are much more severe (read: more jail time). New Mexico works on a point system. If you have 12 marks, or points, against you your license can be suspended. If you continue to drive with a suspended license you could perpetuate the suspension. PLEASE talk to a lawyer- you can easily get a provisional license in either case and save yourself a lot of money, time and heart ache.
