I had a c-section and I did bleed. It lasted a couple of weeks. It's the bodies way of cleaning out all the extra baby gunk. It was slightly heavier than a normal period but without the cramps. I would suggest some disposable panties in case of a leak. But make sure there are no panty lines to bother the incision. Oh, and FYI it will probably bother her to move too much. For 3-4 weeks after my surgery, I couldn't lie on my side because if felt like something was yanking at the incision. my friend also had a c-section and had the same problem. It is a burning feeling, very uncomfortable. They will probably give her meds. Tell her to take the recommeded dosage and not wait until it hurts because it takes your body longer to heal when it's dealing with the pain.
Tell her good luck.

Yes there will be bleeding.... lots of bleeding. You should check with the hospital though - mine provided pads and these really cool mess panties to wear.... and if they have them ask for extras before going home. It is great to not ruin your own stuff!
Hope your friend has a great C-Section experience!

From my own experience--have her get some panties that have spandex/lycra blend. The spandex helps hold in her tummy muscles after they've been cut during the c-section. Those will heal in about a month, and she'll be able to exercise after that.
And she'll hate this, but get the granny-panty kind. It's the only thing to hold it all in.
Also, she can get a post-pregnancy belt (sold at Target) to help suck those muscles back in.
Congratulations to your friend and good luck.

yes, she will bleed like everyone else.
She need some high waist panties that you can get in Motherhood or other pantie stores. Low rise panties may pressure her cut and make her uncomfortable

Yes she will bleed just like if she had given natural birth, all she needs are pads.... and one size larger undies so they don't bother her along the incision
Good luck

yes she will bleed.....and you wont need anything special...just what she usually used......she will bleed just as if she would have had the baby normally....so she will bleed a while and its likely to be heavy for a few days
