How to fix layered hair?

Question

I'm a guy with close to shoulder lenght hair. I went to get it trimmed the other day and she layered it so now it's all messed up. The hair in the front is alot shorter and now it curls into my face so I can't really wear it back and down like I used to. Anyway, besides cutting it off and starting over, how do I go about fixing it and making it all fairly even again? How long would it take to grow out of the layers (my hair grows pretty quickly)? Don't bother posting if all you have is an opinion that long hair looks bad on guys. Thanks

I'm a girl and I have the same problem. I'm going to leave mine alone and have it trimmed from the bottom,eventually the layers will be longer and will probably look better. Eventually they will be gone though. I know how you feel. I hate getting stuck with a horrible hair cut I didn't ask for. I would not have it recut,I don't see how that will help you since you hate the layers. They would need to be able to glue hair back on so that your hair won't have layers and that is not possible. I know it sucks, but leaving it alone for right now is best. Good luck

Any chance of asking that your hair is redone.. explain to them what the problems are now. If nothing else, they, and you, will have learned from this experience.. I hope you're able to get it corrected. I like long hair on guys.. Hubby use to have it long, and one son still does.
Perhaps getting it style again, and not getting it all cut off, as you suggested.. but once again, speak with those that actually worked on your hair in the first place. Do so with politness.. kindness..
I had mine cut yesterday.. she accidently cut too much off on one side and then had to even it all out.. OMG!! Oh well..**** happens ..

In my opinion as well as many women and guys think that a guy with a long hair is not good looking. Guys with short hair are more attractive and they reflect manhood and strenghth better than those who have long hair, especially close to shoulder. It's not cool at all. Women always think that men should have barely hair. Women usually featured with long hair not men. However, you just do whatever you want. But remember you asked for opinions. Good luck.

We all get a bad hair cut at least once in our life. Fortunately, it happens to everyone so you don't have to be embarressed. Just wait for it to grow out. There's not much else you can do with a bad haircut. (Other than get it cut even shorter).

if i develop into you i might want to bypass to a salon and ask them what they propose. this may worl because they're basically experts and carry the authentic specialist products so im particular they could grant you with suggestion and grant you with a product that could want to shop the layers in line, xoxo micky
