Best choice would be a dark color like the ruby red, burgundy, r maybe even royal blue. U can go even darker like black but what color of furniture...all black r switching it up. Light would not benefit the idea of a movie theater. Good luck.

This is the best question of the day!
Everyone has a favorite place to go out and see a movie. For some reason some movie theaters are just better than others. Go to your favorite movie theater and see what they use on their wall.
You may have never noticed what color is on their walls and that is a good thing. You don't want to be distracted by white walls or painfully obvious art work such as movie posters. The lighting should also mimic the theater. Wall sconces that send light up or down not at you. Architectually detailed moldings are also wonderful in your new theater.
Another area to make sure you paint is the ceiling. It should also be similar to your favorite theater including a medallion which can be bought at any home improvement store. That will also need to be painted.
You are creating a fabulous personal space. Make sure you use the colors that make YOU happy.
Good Luck!

Whatever the age and style of your home, consider the whole house when you plan your color and paint finish schemes. Choose paint color and techniques that unify your existing furnishings and enhance the decorating look you enjoy. Consider how you want your rooms to feel and the colors of your furnishings.

I assume you mean the walls and/or ceiling? Most go with a neutral beige or light brownish color for the walls, and just a basic white for the ceiling. You don't want something that's going to be distracting from the screen. You could also just skip the paint altogether, and just hang heavy sound absorbing curtains on the walls to cancel out echo from your speakers.

I would probably say go with a dark navy blue... white or black...
because the room is going to be dark to begin with so it really doesnt matter what color you paint it. Id personally probably prefer white...

use a medium to dark hue to keep things calm you don't want to be energized when your trying to relax and watch a movie, try something in a warm tone deep rich color reds, browns are good for adding warmth and coziness, you also don't want to add to many accessories to the walls you want your eyes drawn to the screen not the walls, go subtle.

You should use a dark color, definently, it will emphasize the screen. Also, consider the carpet, and furniture colors. They should look good together.
