Because people like getting the shaft in this country-the more they get it the better they like it!
It's been televised how many times that Exxon and Mobil (now one large conglomerate) pretty much controls the entire industry in this country and is the reason we all paid $3.00 plus a gallon of gas this year! They had to pay off the new oil platforms they are building in the Gulf of Mexico which ran into the billions! Also, the high faluting CEO's enjoy that lifestyle we so willingly allow them with our stupidity and ignorance!!!
And then you have all the "JONES" who live so far beyond their means the only words they know are "CHARGE IT"!!!! They don't have enough money in their pocket for a cup of coffee-now Dunkin Donuts takes credit cards too! And at the drive thru!!!
Talk about waiting in line! Puts Walmart to shame!!! I don't think 7-11 takes credit cards?

I buy my gas at the local BP Amoco because it's owned and operated by a local man who donates to our schools, charities and treats his employees like people, not numbers.. My money stays here in town and is not sent to some corporate headquarters.

I would say either the line is shorter, or they have an Exxon credit card, or they believe it to be better quality fuel.

theres good gas and bad gas compare your mileage and performance with a tank of each. exxons is better. but i don't go to either. i go to marathon and get super gas.

I've often wondered that myself. And I've noticed that my car doesn't get as good fuel mileage as when I buy gas from Citgo, Sunoco or Sheetz. And it is way more expensive...

Are you a shareholder in 7-11 stores?
Why should you care where people buy their gas?
You buy where you want to buy and I'll buy gas where I want to buy gas!
